MODULAR POWER FLUIDICS AND ONLINE OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY FOR REPROCESSING PLANT CONTROL AND ACCOUNTANCY
THE PURPOSE IS TO UTILIZE POWER FLUIDICS (PF) COUPLED WITH ONLINE OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY (OOS) TO PROVIDE A SIGNIFICANT TECHNOLOGICAL DISRUPTION THAT ACHIEVES THE GLOBAL METRICS, AND RELEVANT TECHNICAL SUB-METRICS, IDENTIFIED FOR THE ARPA-E CURIE PROGRAM. ALTHOUGH PF AND REAL-TIME OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPIC MONITORING CAN PROVIDE BENEFIT THROUGHOUT A REPROCESSING FACILITY, THE TEAM WILL FOCUS OUR EFFORTS ON AN ACCOUNTANCY TANK TO PROVIDE A FOCUSED DEMONSTRATION OF THE POWERFUL BENEFITS OF COUPLING THESE TWO TECHNOLOGIES.
