DEVELOPING A SOLAR-WILDLIFE DATABASE TO IMPROVE SITING AND PERMITTING OF SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES
A. PROJECT OBJECTIVES
THIS PROJECT WILL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT A DATA-SHARING INFRASTRUCTURE (DSI) FOR DATA ON THE INTERACTIONS OF SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) INSTALLATIONS WITH WILDLIFE AND OTHER NATURAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT SITING ACTIVITIES. THE DSI WILL ALLOW DATA OWNERS TO PUBLISH THEIR DATA IN A SECURED, CONTROLLED MANNER FOR ACCESS BY REGISTERED USERS. THE DSI WILL FACILITATE THE INTAKE OF DATA BY PROVIDING STANDARDIZED FORMATS FOR REVIEWING THE RAW DATA, CLEANING AND STANDARDIZING DATA IN REWI-PROVIDED TEMPLATES, AND MAKING THAT DATA AVAILABLE FOR QUERY.$579,919
