Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY – MASS SPECTROMETRY The Mass Spectrometry Shared Resource (MASS) provides Salk Cancer Center (SCC) members with the highest level of support for their proteomic and metabolomic needs. The Director and Senior Mass Spectrometrist provide expert consultation concerning the design, implementation, and analysis of a wide range of experiments, including protein identification and quantification, identification of post-translational modifications, secreted protein/peptide analysis, untargeted lipidomics profiling, targeted lipidomics and metabolomics (including bile acids, amino acids, and fatty acids). MASS routinely provides service to 45% of the SCC members, who utilize 95% of total services purchased.
