Abstract

Introduction The creation of effective computational tools requires tight integration between the core activities. Researchers will create algorithms based on the needs of other biomedical or behavioral researchers. Computational scientists will help create efficient, robust implementations of these algorithms, insure that they fit into the overall architecture, and integrate additions into the overall software process. The technology will be transitioned and disseminated to the community at large for eventual feedback and improvement. Another core will manage the overall process and insure effective resource utilization. Underlying all these activities is the NAMIC infrastructure provided by this core.
