**AWARDS ISSUED PRIOR TO JANUARY 20, 2025, WERE FUNDED UNDER PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS AND MAY NOT REFLECT THE PRIORITIES AND POLICIES OF THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.** AS THE HUMAN POPULATIONS CONTINUE TO GROW AND WORLDWIDE FISHERY YIELDS DECLINE, THERE IS AN URGENTNEED TO INCREASE FISH AND HEALTHY SEAFOOD SUPPLIES THROUGH FISH FARMING. FORTUNATELY, THEAQUACULTURE INDUSTRY IS GROWING AT A FAST PACE, AND IS USING MODERN METHODS THAT ARE HELPINGIMPROVE YIELDS AND PROFIT. THE GOAL OF OUR PROJECT IS TO BRING TOGETHER LEADING SCIENTISTS,UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND AQUACULTURE INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES. THIS WILL HAPPEN AT THE INSTITUTE OFMARINE AND ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE, UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF MARYLAND, INBALTIMORE, MD, USA (SEPTEMBER 15-19, 2024) DURINGTHE 10TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON FISH ENDOCRINOLOGY (HTTPS://WWW.ISFENDO.COM).ENDOCRINOLOGY IS THE SCIENTIFIC STUDY OF USE OF HORMONES, THE NATURAL CHEMICALS IN THE BODY THATCAUSE GROWTH, REPRODUCTION, DIGESTION AND MANY OTHER FUNCTIONS IN THE BODY. AT THIS MEETING WITHSEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, THE LATEST DISCOVERIES ABOUT FISH HORMONES WILLBE DISCUSSED. WE EXPECT TO IDENTIFY MAJOR KNOWLEDGE GAPS, AND TO PROMOTE NEW RESEARCH THATADVANCES OUR UNDERSTANDING OF HORMONES AND HOW THEY MAY BE USED CAREFULLY TO INCREASEDAQUACULTURE PRODUCTION.
