**AWARDS ISSUED PRIOR TO JANUARY 20, 2025, WERE FUNDED UNDER PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS AND MAY NOT REFLECT THE PRIORITIES AND POLICIES OF THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.** THIS PROJECT TACKLES THE CRITICAL CHALLENGE OF MAKING AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES MORE SUSTAINABLE WITHOUT SACRIFICING THE BENEFITS OF GLOBAL TRADE. IN A WORLD INCREASINGLY AFFECTED BY ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES LIKE CLIMATE CHANGE, DEFORESTATION, AND RESOURCE DEPLETION, IT'S VITAL TO UNDERSTAND HOW SUSTAINABILITY STANDARDS IMPACTGLOBAL FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS. BALANCING THESE CONCERNS IS ESSENTIAL FOR ENSURING LONG-TERM FOOD SECURITY, PROTECTING NATURAL RESOURCES, AND SUPPORTING THE LIVELIHOODS OF FARMERS AND OTHERS WITHIN THE AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAIN. THE PROJECT WILL ORGANIZE A CONFERENCE TO ADDRESS THESE COMPLEX ISSUES, GATHERING LEADING EXPERTS FROM ACADEMIA, GOVERNMENT, INDUSTRY, AND NGOS. THROUGH A SERIES OF PRESENTATIONSAND POLICY DISCUSSIONS, THESE EXPERTS WILL EXCHANGE THE LATEST RESEARCH AND EXPLORE HOW TO ALIGN SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS WITH THE DEMANDS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE. THE AIM IS TO FOSTER COLLABORATION AND SPARK INNOVATIVE IDEAS. THE INSIGHTS AND OUTCOMES OF THESE DISCUSSIONS WILL BE DISSEMINATED THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, POLICY BRIEFS, AND OUTREACH EFFORTS, ENSURING THAT THEY REACH DECISION-MAKERS IN THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTORS.
