** AWARDS ISSUED PRIOR TO JANUARY 20, 2025, WERE FUNDED UNDER PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS AND MAY NOT REFLECT THE PRIORITIES AND POLICIES OF THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.** THERE IS A SHORTAGE OF SCHOOL-BASED AGRICULTURE TEACHERS AND A NEED TO INCREASE EDUCATOR TRAINING, MENTORING, AND SUPPORT TO BEGINNING AGRICULTURE TEACHERS. THE OVERALL GOAL OF THIS COLLABORATIVE PROJECT IS TO IMPROVE THE JOB SATISFACTION, SENSE OF BELONGING, PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE, AND SELF-EFFICACY OF BEGINNING AGRICULTURE TEACHERS BY: 1) FACILITATING PROFESSIONAL MENTORING AND PEER SUPPORT ACTIVITIES; 2) INCREASING PCK AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH CONTEXTUALIZED TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL ENDORSEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES; AND 3) INCREASING SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SKILLS FOR BEGINNING AGRICULTURE TEACHERS THROUGH PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT. THE IMPACT OF THESE ACTIVITIES WILL BE 1) IMPROVED TRAINING FOR 60 BEGINNING AGRICULTURE TEACHERS WITH INCREASED PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE; 2) ACCESSIBLE SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CURRICULUM RESOURCES FOR BEGINNING AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTE TEACHERS; AND 3) DEVELOPMENT OF A STRONG PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK FOR BEGINNING TEACHERS. THE IMPACTS OF THESE ACTIVITIES AND PRODUCTS WILL DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY BENEFIT THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS.
