**AWARDS ISSUED PRIOR TO JANUARY 20, 2025, WERE FUNDED UNDER PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS AND MAY NOT REFLECT THE PRIORITIES AND POLICIES OF THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATION.** THE PROJECT'S RATIONALE WILL BE THAT DEVELOPING TOOLS TO DIAGNOSE A NEW MECHANISM OF SPERM SUBFERTILITY WILL HELP INCREASE BULLS' SPERM FERTILITY.THE PROJECT'S HYPOTHESIS WILL BE THAT SELECTING BULLS WITH SUPERIOR SPERM CENTRIOLES WILL INCREASE DAIRY CATTLE HERDS' FERTILITY.THE PROJECT'S OBJECTIVE WILL BE TO ESTABLISH A SET OF CENTRIOLAR BIOMARKERS CORRELATING WITH HIGH-QUALITY SPERM.THE PROJECT'S OUTCOMES WILL BE THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOOLS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING BULLS WITH SUPERIOR FERTILITY.THE PROJECT'S IMPACT WILL BE DEVELOPING A METHOD TO INCREASE BULL FERTILITY AND RATE OF BOVINE PREGNANCIES; THEREFORE, HELPING TO REDUCE THE PRODUCTION COST OF FARMERS.
