CHALLENGES ASSOCIATED WITH SUSTAINABLE INCREASES IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY ARE MULTIFACTORIAL, COMPLEX AND INTERRELATED. TRANSLATION OF RESEARCH BREAKTHROUGHS IN AGRICULTURE AND RELATED SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DISCIPLINES TO COMMERCIAL REALIZATION AND BROAD APPLICATION IS CONSTRAINED BY THE HISTORICAL DIVERGENCE OF APPROACHES TO CURRICULA, RESEARCH, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PRACTICE BETWEEN AGRICULTURE, OTHER SCIENCE DISCIPLINES, AND ENGINEERING. THIS WORKSHOP WILL ACCELERATE TRANSLATION OF KEY CONVERGENCE APPROACHES RELEVANT TO BIOENGINEERING EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FROM CONCEPT TO PRACTICE. EXPERTS WILL CONDUCT HANDS-ON, INTERACTIVE TRAINING FOR PARTICIPANTS IN STATE-OF-THE-ART APPROACHES RELEVANT TO BIOENGINEERING EDUCATION IN FOUR KEY AREAS OF CONVERGENCE.
