MOST RECENTLY THE PROPOSERS HAVE DEVELOPED AT STANFORD UNIVERSITY AN INNOVATIVE COMPUTATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR THE SIMULATION OF SUPERSONIC PARACHUTE INFLATION DYNAMICS (PID) THE FRAMEWORK IS BUILT AROUND THE EULERIAN SETTING FOR THE TWO-WAY COUPLED FLUID- STRUCTURE INTERACTION (FSI) COMPUTATIONS WHICH ENDOWS IT WITH ROBUSTNESS WITH RESPECT TO LARGE STRUCTURAL MOTIONS DEFORMATION AND TOPICAL CHANGES.
