BLAZAR SCIENCE HAS BEEN PROFOUNDLY REFINED IN THE FERMI-LAT ERA USING NUMEROUS MULTI-WAVELENGTH (MW) CAMPAIGNS. RECENTLY SIMULATION RESULTS OF SHOCK ACCELERATION HAVE BEEN COMBINED WITH TIME-DEPENDENT MW MODELING OF 3C 279 AND OTHER BLAZARS TO PROVIDE IMPORTANT DIAGNOSTICS ON THEIR JET PLASMAS.
