THE OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE DOMS TEAM FOCUS ON RAISING THE OVERALL TECHNOLOGY READINESS LEVEL (TRL) OF DOMS AND INTEGRATING DOMS WITH OCEANWORKS IN A TWO-YEAR WORK PLAN. 1. TESTING AND UPGRADING DOMS MATCH-UP ALGORITHMS AND BACKEND APIS TO SUPPORT LARGE SCALE DATA QUERIES (E.G. MATCHING ACROSS WHOLE GLOBE ENTIRE SATELLITE MISSION). 2. DEVELOPING METHODS TO QUE JOBS AND DELIVER DATA TO USERS IN DELAYED-MODE (E.G. OUTSIDE A SINGLE BROWSER SESSION). 3. ESTABLISHING AND TESTING PROCEDURES TO SUPPORT FILTERING OF MATCHED DATA BASED ON DATA QUALITY; DEMONSTRATING MULTI-SOURCE DATA INTEGRATION WITH STANDARDIZED QC AND SUPPORT THAT WITH SOURCE SPECIFIC QC. 4. OUTLINING GOVERNANCE FOR MANAGING METADATA/DATASETS (E.G. RULES FOR PROVENANCE VERSIONS). 5. BUILDING CAPABILITIES FOR METRICS COLLECTION INTO DOMS (E.G. USER ASSESSMENT DATA TRANSFERS SYSTEM PERFORMANCE). 6. CREATING AND PUBLISHING USER DOCUMENTATION OUTLINING SYSTEM CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION. AT THE COMPLETION OF THE FIRST DOMS FUNDING CYCLE DOMS WILL BE TRL4 (A LOW FIDELITY SYSTEM/COMPONENT BREADBOARD IS BUILT AND OPERATED TO DEMONSTRATE BASIC FUNCTIONALITY AND CRITICAL TEST ENVIRONMENTS AND ASSOCIATED PERFORMANCE PREDICTIONS ARE DEFINED RELATIVE TO THE FINAL OPERATING ENVIRONMENT). THE OUTCOME OF THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES WILL BE TO ACHIEVE TRL6 (A HIGH-FIDELITY SYSTEM/COMPONENT PROTOTYPE THAT ADEQUATELY ADDRESSES ALL CRITICAL SCALING ISSUES IS BUILT AND OPERATED IN A RELEVANT ENVIRONMENT TO DEMONSTRATE OPERATIONS UNDER CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS) FOR DOMS BY INTEGRATING DOMS INTO THE JPL OCEANWORKS PROTOTYPE.
