THE ROLE OF DR. MORIN ON THE PROJECT WILL BE TO BUILD RUN AND VALIDATE THE DYMSIM MODEL FOR CHIKUNGUNYA AND TO REFINE THE MODEL FOR DENGUE AS NEW INFORMATION IS GENERATED IN THE LITERATURE. HE WILL LEAD MODIFICATIONS TO DYMSIM INCLUDING THE PARAMETERIZATION OF HUMIDITYRELATED INFLUENCES ON THE BIONOMICS OF THE AE. AEGYPTI MOSQUITO. DR. MORIN WILL ALSO ASSIST IN REVISING THE MODEL CODE TO PERFORM PARALLEL SIMULATION RUNS. HE WILL ASSIST IN OBTAINING THE NECESSARY METEOROLOGICAL/CLIMATE DATA TO RUN THE MODEL AND EVALUATE THE RESULTS AGAINST COLLECTED ENTOMOLOGICAL AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL DATA. HE WILL PARTICIPATE IN MANUSCRIPTS AND PRESENTATIONS THAT ARISE FROM THE WORK CONDUCTED.
