THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO ARCHIVE VOYAGER AND GALILEO ELECTRON AND PARTICLE DISTRIBUTIONS FOR USE FOR FUTURE MODELING AND NASA MISSIONS SUCH AS THOSE TO EUROPA. DR. RICHARDSON IS THE PI OF THE VOYAGER PLASMA EXPERIMENT AND AN EXPERT OF THESE DATA. HE AND DR. SITTLER WILL PRODUCE AND ARCHIVE DATA SETS OF ELECTRON PARAMETERS IN THE JOVIAN MAGNETOSPHERE. HE WILL ALSO ASSIST IN COMBINING THE VOYAGER THERMAL PLASMA DATA WITH THE ENERGETIC PARTICLE DATA TO PRODUCE COMBINED PARTICLE SPECTRA. BOTH PARTS OF THIS WORK WILL REQUIRE A SURVEY AND COLLECTION OF PREVIOUS ANALYSES AND NEW ANALYSIS OF DATA NEAR THE MOONS OF JUPITER. THIS ANALYSIS USES CODES WHICH ARE ALREADY MOSTLY DEVELOPED SO A MONTH OF DR. RICHARDSON S TIME EACH YEAR IS SUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE THIS WORK.
