THIS PROPOSAL WILL SUPPORT THE GENERATION OF LONG TERM ACCURATE SURFACE REFLECTANCE (SR) PRODUCTS FROM A SEVERAL SENSORS (AVHRR LANDSAT MODIS VIIRS AND SENTINAL 2) THAT CAN BE USED FOR A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS DOWNSTREAM. THE PROPOSED RESEARCH WILL ALSO DEVELOP A LONG TERM ALBEDO PRODUCT AND WILL ANALYZE ITS CHANGE OVER USA AND CANADA FROM THE 1980 S TILL PRESENT. THE SURFACE REFLECTANCE RECORD WILL ALSO BE USED TO STUDY LONG TERM CHANGE IN VEGETATION PHENOLOGY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH AVERAGE AIR TEMPERATURES. THE PI HAS GREAT CREDENTIALS FOR THE PROPOSED RESEARCH HAVING BEEN INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MODIS SR ALGORITHMS AND SR FOR OTHER INSTRUMENTS INCLUDING PAST AND CURRENT AVHRR AND LANDSAT MISSIONS.
