THIS PROPOSAL FOCUSES ON THE SIXTH STRATEGIC THRUST ASSURED AUTONOMY FOR AVIATION TRANSFORMATION AND PROPOSES AN UAV TRAFFIC INFORMATION EXCHANGE NETWORK (UAV-TIEN) TO DISTRIBUTE UAV FLIGHT DATA ACROSS THE NETWORK IN A SAFE SECURE AND ECONOMICAL WAY. THE PROPOSED PROJECT USES A BLOCKCHAIN-INSPIRED SECURE SCALABLE DISTRIBUTED AND EFFICIENT COMMUNICATION FRAMEWORK TO SUPPORT LARGE SCALE UAV OPERATIONS. THE PROJECT ADAPTS THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY BEING USED IN THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY TO SECURELY SHARE FINANCIAL DATA TO SECURELY COMMUNICATE UAV FLIGHT INFORMATION. A SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROPOSED TECHNOLOGY CAN SECURELY SHARE TRAFFIC DATA BETWEEN UAVS AND AIRCRAFT TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS IN A CITY WITH OBSTACLES BLOCKING RADIO SIGNALS. MOREOVER IT CAN ALSO PROVIDE A RELIABLE AND REAL-TIME INFORMATION SOURCE FOR UAV DEVELOPERS WORKING ON COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEMS ROUTE PLANNING STRATEGIES TO ENSURE AIRSPACE SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY. THE AUTHORS BELIEVE THAT THIS TECHNOLOGY WILL SERVE AS A STEPPING STONE TOWARDS ENABLING LARGE SCALE UAV OPERATIONS IN FUTURE METROPOLITAN AREAS. ADDITIONALLY WITH THE CURRENT POPULARITY OF THE BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY THIS PROJECT HAS A GREAT POTENTIAL FOR CROWD FUNDING.
