THE PROPOSED EFFORT WILL INCLUDE THE CONTINUED CALIBRATION ANALYSIS AND PUBLIC RELEASE OF DATA PRODUCTS FROM WIND S SOLAR WIND AND SUPRATHERMAL ION COMPOSITION EXPERIMENT (SMS) MEASURING IONS FROM HYDROGEN TO IRON WITH ENERGIES FROM ~6 KEV/Q TO ~200 KEV/Q. THE PROPOSED EFFORT WILL INVESTIGATE PREVIOUSLY UNTESTED THEORIES WITH THE NEW AND UNIQUE DATA PRODUCTS PRODUCED BY THE PI AND COLLEAGUES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN. THE PI AND COLLEAGUES WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR AND OPERATE THE INSTRUMENT IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING PUBLICLY AVAILABLE DATA PRODUCTS. THE PI AND COLLEAGUES HAVE OVER FIVE DECADE OF COMBINED EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TIME-OF-FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS COMBINED WITH ELECTROSTATIC ANALYZERS THUS THEY POSSESS THE REQUIRED EXPERTISE TO ACCOMPLISH THE PROPOSED EFFORT.
