THE GOAL OF THIS PROPOSAL IS TO OBTAIN THE UNDERLYING XRAY SPECTRUM OF THE X-RAY TRANSIENT NARROW LINE SEYFERT 1 GALAXY WPVS 007 DURING ONE OF ITS RARE X-RAY HIGH STATES. WHILE WPVS 007 IS TYPICALLY IN EXTREMELY LOW XRAY FLUX STATES WHICH ARE CAUSED PRIMARILY BY ABSORPTION IT HAS SHOWN EPISODES OF VERY VIOLENT X-RAY ACTIVITY. IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL NATURE OF THE X-RAY ABSORBER A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNDERLYING X-RAY SPECTRUM IS CRUCIAL. THIS HOWEVER CAN ONLY BE DONE WHEN IT IS IN A HIGH STATE. WE THEREFORE PROPOSE A 35 KS TRIGGERED OBSERVATION OFWPVS 007 (INCLUDES THE 40% OVERHEAD FOR BACKGROUND FLARES)
