THIS STATEMENT OF WORK CORRESPONDS TO THE FUNDING REQUEST OF $147 530 FROM OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE CONTINUATION OF WORK ON DR. DARREN DREWRY S TERRESTRIAL ECOLOGY PROJECT (ABOVE). THESE FUNDS WILL SUPPORT THE TRAINING OF A GRADUATE STUDENT AT THE MASTERS LEVEL ALONG WITH UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS AND THE TIME OF DR. DREWRY. DR. DREWRY WILL LEAD ANALYSES OF AIRBORNE DATA COLLECTED DURING THE 2017 ABOVE AIRBORNE CAMPAIGN. THE INITIAL ANALYSIS WILL FOCUS ON SOLAR INDUCED CHLOROPHYLL FLUORESCENCE (SIF) ACQUISITIONS ACQUIRED OVER EDDY COVARIANCE FLUX SITES SPANNING MUCH OF THE ABOVE DOMAIN. DR. DREWRY WILL LEAD AN ANALYSIS OF THE ENTIRE SET OF FLUX TOWER ACQUISITIONS OVER ACTIVE EDDY COVARIANCE SITES ACROSS THE DOMAIN PROVIDING A BROAD PERSPECTIVE ON THE ROLES OF BIOME AND CLIMATE ON THE RELATIONSHIP OF SIF FLUX AND NET ECOSYSTEM EXCHANGE (NEE) AS MEASURED AT THE TOWER SITES. DR. DREWRY WILL LEAD A GRADUATE STUDENT AT OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY IN THE EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SIF DATA IN THE CONTEXT OF BIOCHEMICAL AND STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS DERIVED BY THE AVIRIS AND LVIS INSTRUMENTS RESPECTIVELY. THE SPECIFIC GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION(S) OF THIS ANALYSIS WILL BE DETERMINED FOLLOWING THE RESULTS OF THE INITIAL SIF ANALYSIS ACROSS ALL OPERATIONAL FLUX TOWER SITES. THE SECOND YEAR OF SUPPORT FOR THE MASTERS STUDENT WILL BE PROVIDE BY START-UP FUNDS OF DR. DREWRY.
