ALTHOUGH FOSSIL SYSTEMS ARE THOUGHT TO BE VERY OLD ONLY A FEW DISPLAY ABOVE-AVERAGE CONCENTRATION PA- RAMETERS. USING ARCHIVAL CHANDRA AND SUZAKU DATA EXTENDING OUT TO R2500 OF THE WELL-STUDIED FOSSIL GROUP NGC 6482 WE MEASURED C200 THAT EXCEEDS THE MEAN _CDM C M RELATION BY 6_ WITH RESPECT TO THE INTRINSIC SCATTER AND BY 3:5_ WITH RESPECT TO THE MEASUREMENT ERROR. THE EXTREME OUTLIER STATUS IF CON_RMED WOULD POSE A CHALLENGE TO _CDM GALAXY FORMATION SINCE THE SCATTER IN THE C M RELATION IS ROBUST AND INSENSITIVE TO COSMOLOGICAL PARAME- TERS. WE PROPOSE A DEEP XMM-NEWTON OBSERVATION OF NGC 6482 TO OBTAIN PRECISE MEASUREMENTS OF THE GAS PROPERTIES OUT TO R500 PARTICULARLY THE TEMPERA- TURE TO VERIFY THE HIGH C200 AND CEMENT ITS STATUS AS THE MOST EXTREMELY EVOLVED FOSSIL SYSTEM KNOWN.
