THE INSTITUTION PROPOSES TO CREATE A COMPREHENSIVE PICTURE OF THE OBSERVATIONAL PROPERTIES OF ECLIPSING BINARIES EXHIBITING ASYMMETRIES. KEPLER OBSERVATIONS HAVE RESULTED IN ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST DIVERSE SAMPLES OF ECLIPSING BINARIES -- NEARLY 3000 OBJECTS WITH EXQUISITELY SAMPLED CONTINUOUS LIGHTCURVES THAT STRETCH FOR OVER THREE YEARS. FROM THIS DATASET WE HAVE IDENTIFIED 55 SYSTEMS FROM THE ORIGINAL KEPLER PUBLIC DATA THAT EXHIBIT THE O CONNELL EFFECT AN ASYMMETRY BETWEEN THE HEIGHTS OF THE MAXIMA IN THE LIGHT CURVE AS WELL AS OTHER ASYMMETRIES THAT WE BELIEVE IS DUE TO CIRCUMSTELLAR MATERIAL SUCH AS AN ACCRETION DISK OR STREAM OR A HOT SPOT.
