WE PROPOSE TO CARRY OUT A DETAILED ANALYSIS OFMMS OBSERVATIONS IN THE SOLAR WIND OUTSIDE THE TERRESTRIAL BOW-SHOCK FOCUSING ON THE EXTENDED MISSION PHASE INCLUDING THE TETRAHEDRALCONFIGURATION PHASE AS WELL AS THE MORE RECENT TURBULENCE CAMPAIGN. THE NASA MMS MISSION OFFERS HIGH-TIME CADENCE MULTI-POINT FIELDS AND PLASMA MEASUREMENTS WHICH PROVIDE AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY PLASMA TURBULENCE AND KINETIC DISSIPATION IN NEAR-EARTH SPACE. THE PLAN ANTICIPATES COLLABORATION BETWEEN LASP AND THE FPI MMS TEAM AT GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER WITH SUPPORT FROM THE THEORY AND MODELLING GROUP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE. WE EXPECT THAT THESE INVESTIGATIONS WILL YIELD NEW INSIGHTS INTO THE SCALE DEPENDENT NATURE OF THE ENERGY CASCADE AS WELL AS THE ANISOTROPIC NATURE OF TURBULENT FLUCTUATIONS IN THE SOLAR WIND.
