NISAR WILL PROVIDE THE CAPABILITY FOR SIGNIFICANT ADVANCEMENT IN ALL OF OUR AREAS OF CONTRIBUTION. WE WILL DEVELOP ENHANCE AND ASSESS ALGORITHM PERFORMANCE AND METHODOLOGIES OF NISAR IMPLEMENTATION FOR OBJECTIVES ASSOCIATED WITH MISSION DERIVATIVES RELATED TO OUR CONTRIBUTION. THE POLARIMETRIC AND INTERFEROMETRIC CAPABILITIES OF NISAR WILL BE PARTICULARLY VALUABLE FOR ALGORITHM ENHANCEMENTS. PRELAUNCH WE WILL EMPLOY LEGACY AND CONTEMPORARY SOURCES OF MICROWAVE REMOTE SENSING DATASETS AND RADIOMETRIC MODELING AND POST LAUNCH WITH NISAR DATASETS CONTEMPORARY REMOTE SENSING DATASETS MODELING AND VALIDATION DATA. WHERE DEFICIENCIES IN PRODUCT QUALITY MAY EXIST WE WILL ASSESS AND SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATION OF ALGORITHM ENHANCEMENTS AND ASSESS PRODUCT QUALITY WITH THE ENHANCEMENTS ENABLED. ADVANCING THE DISCIPLINARY SCIENCE WE WILL PROVIDE INPUT TO ANY NEEDED REVISIONS OF THE NISAR SCIENCE PLAN EVALUATE THE PROPOSED NISAR MISSION DESIGNS IN ACHIEVING THE ASSOCIATED SCIENTIFIC GOALS AND PROVIDE APPROPRIATE INPUT TO ANY REVISIONS NEEDED TO THE NISAR ALGORITHM THEORETICAL BASIS DOCUMENTS (ATBDS) AND SUPPORT PROVISION OF NEW ATBDS AS NEEDED.
