THIS PROJECT AIMS TO DEVELOP BIOMASS-BASED POLYMER ELECTROLYTES FOR THE ELECTROCHEMICAL REDUCTION OF CO2 INTO CHEMICALS. IN-SITU RESOURCES WILL BE USED IN ALL FACETS OF THE DESIGN FROM PLANTS GROWN ON MARS TO IONS EXTRACTED FROM MARTIAN REGOLITH TO THE CO2 THAT COMPRISES THE MARTIAN ATMOSPHERE.
