THIS PROPOSAL ADDRESSES THE ICESAT-2 PAD CODE DEVELOPED FROM DR. BAE'S ICESAT ALGORITHMS BUT ALSO PRESENTS: 1) STATUS AND PLANS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING ALGORITHMS 2) THE MITIGATION STRATEGY FOR THE LRS (STELLAR-SIDE) CHROMATIC ABERRATION 3) DESCRIPTIONS OF ANY REQUIRED DATA PRE-PROCESSING AND 4) SUPPORT EFFORTS FOR PPD VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION. FINALLY THE PROPOSAL WILL PRESENT A MANAGEMENT PLAN AN OPERATIONS PLAN (CONNECTIVITY SECURITY COMMUNICATIONS) AND A MASTER SCHEDULE {SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT DELIVERY AND SUPPORT FOR GROUND-SYSTEM AND MISSION-READINESS TESTS). THE COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE WILL SHOW THE DELIVERY OF MULTIPLE SOFTWARE BUILDS AS NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE PLANNED GROUND AND MISSION READINESS TESTS IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING ON-ORBIT SUPPORT ONCE THE SPACECRAFT HAS LAUNCHED. THE PROPOSED EFFORT WILL WORK TO DELIVER A SYSTEM THAT PERFORMS AT OR BETTER THAN THE GEOLOCATION KNOWLEDGE BUDGET ALLOCATIONS SPECIFIED IN THE ICESAT-2-SYS-REQ-0450. FURTHERMORE THIS EFFORT WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE DESIGNATED LEAD FOR THIS BUDGET TO PROVIDE THE CURRENT BEST ESTIMATES OF THE PPD PERFORMANCE IN TERMS OF THE ACCURACY OF THE PPD PRODUCTS.
