THIS PROJECT IS TO TAILOR AND CONDUCT HIGH QUALITY 3D MAG- NETOHYDRODYNAMIC (MHD) SOLUTIONS OF THE GLOBAL SOLAR CORONA FOR SPECIFIC TIME PERIODS OF INTEREST (SUN-GRAZING COMET PERIHELIA). ONCE SUITABLY REALISTIC OBSERVATION-BASED MHD SOLUTIONS ARE DEVELOPED MODEL DATA EXTRACTED ALONG COMET TRAJECTORIES WILL BE SUPPLIED TO THE OTHER INVESTIGATORS ON THE PROJECT AND CONSULT WITH THEM ON THE RESULTS. THIS WILL ALSO HELP INVESTIGATE THE SOLAR WIND IMPLICATIONS/CONNECTIONS OF COMETARY IONS DEPOSITED ONTO MAGNETIC FIELD LINES LOW IN THE HELIOSPHERE.
