THE PROJECT PROPOSED HERE SEEKS TO TARGET AND EXPAND INTO A VALUABLE UNTAPPED COMMUNITY OF STEM THAT WILL IMPACT FUTURE GENERATIONS OF STUDENTS. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO HOST ACOMPETITION OPEN TO PRE-SERVICE EDUCATORS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY IN THE CREATION OF A NEW CURRICULA TO BE ACCREDITED BY NASA AND MADE AVAILABLE TO EDUCATORS EVERYWHERE. THIS WILL ALLOW PRE-SERVICE EDUCATORS TO GAIN EXPERIENCE MAKING EVALUATED CURRICULA WHILE BROADENING THEIR EXPERTISE BEYOND TRADITIONAL CLASSROOM LESSONS AND ENCOURAGE NEW AND EXCITING SCIENCE WITHIN THE CLASSROOM.THE COMPETITION ENTAILS THE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATION CONSTRUCTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULA CENTERED ON TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSES (SUCH AS PROPERTIES OR PHENOMENA OF TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSES OR EXPERIMENTS RESULTING FROM TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSES). ALL CURRICULA WILL BE ALIGNED WITHNEXT GENERATION SCIENCE STANDARDS (NGSS) GUIDELINES. THE CURRICULUM MUST CONSTITUTE TWO WEEKS (10-20 CLASS PERIODS) OF PHYSICAL SCIENCE MATERIAL FOR SEVENTH OR NINTH GRADE CLASSES.
