BIL MAXIMIZATION OF RECOVERY OF KEY MATERIALS FROM END-OF-LIFE PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS THIS PROJECT’S GOAL IS TO ENHANCE PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) RECYCLING CAPABILITIES BY ACHIEVING LARGER AND HIGHER-QUALITY YIELDS OF GLASS, SILVER, AND SILICON THROUGH DEVELOPING INNOVATIVE, NEW PROCESSES OF RECOVERY FROM END-OF-LIFE (EOL) PV MODULES. THE TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROJECT ARE TO ACHIEVE YIELD AND PURITY MILESTONES OF RECOVERED MATERIALS THROUGH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D) EFFORTS, AND TO ANALYZE THE RECYCLING PROCESS ECONOMICALLY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY TO PREPARE SOLARCYCLE FOR SCALING THE TECHNOLOGY. THIS PROJECT WILL HAVE THE FINAL RESULT OF PAVING THE WAY FOR MORE EFFECTIVE PV RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY BY INCREASING THE RESEARCH ON RECYCLING PROCESSES AND BY QUANTIFYING PV RECYCLING’S COMMERCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL VIABILITY. THIS PROJECT WILL FACILITATE RECOVERY OF MORE VALUE FROM END- OF-LIFE SOLAR PANELS, ENCOURAGING RECYCLING OVER LANDFILLING. EFFECTIVE MATERIAL RECOVERY OF PV MODULES IS A NECESSITY FOR DEVELOPING A CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND LOWERING TOTAL COSTS OF SOLAR POWER GENERATION.
