THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS SIPS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP AND DEMONSTRATE A NEW, LOW-TEMPERATURE METALLIZATION STRATEGY COMPATIBLE WITH TANDEM PEROVSKITE PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS AND SUITABLE FOR LARGE VOLUME MANUFACTURING (= 5,000 WAFERS/HOUR). TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS, WE DEVELOP REACTIVE SILVER AND COPPER INKS COMPATIBLE WITH THE CHEMICAL AND TEMPERATURE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS OF PEROVSKITE TANDEM PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS. THE NET RESULT OF THIS PROJECT WILL BE: •A SET OF SILVER AND COPPER REACTIVE INK CHEMISTRIES AND PRINTING PROCESSES TO METALLIZE PEROVSKITE CELLS AT TEMPERATURES BELOW 100 °C •80% REDUCTION IN SILVER (COMPARED TO LOW-TEMPERATURE SCREEN-PRINTED PASTES) AND/OR COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF SILVER WITH COPPER METALLIZATION (TARGET: = 25 ΜG/CM2) FOR TANDEM PEROVSKITE PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS
