EXPERIMENTALLY VALIDATED ATOMISTIC AND CONTINUUM MODELING OF LITHIUM-SULFUR BATTERIES THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP A FUNDAMENTAL MECHANISTIC UNDERSTANDING OF LITHIUM-SULFUR (LI-S) ELECTROCHEMISTRY. BOTH CONTINUUM MODELING AND ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE CALCULATIONS WILL BE USED TO INTERPRET THE DATA AND TO DEVELOP OUR UNDERSTANDING.
