OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO ACCELERATE THE DEPLOYMENT OF RESIDENTIAL SOLAR BY COUPLING IT TO ROOFING. FOR THIS PROJECT WE WILL: -BUILD A PILOT MANUFACTURING LINE TO ENABLE SHINGLE DESIGN FLEXIBILITY AND TO REDUCE COST. -REDESIGN MOUNTING ELEMENTS OF OUR SOLAR ROOFING PRODUCT IN ORDER TO ADD FUNCTIONALITY AND ENABLE AFFORDABLE DOMESTIC PRODUCTION. -ADD OBJECTIVE MEASURES OF RELIABILITY TO SYSTEM LEVEL WIRE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES THROUGH DEVELOPMENT OF A TESTING PROTOCOL, AND THEN DESIGN WIRE MANAGEMENT PRODUCTS USING THOSE PRACTICES. -HELP GROW THE MARKET OF SOLAR ROOFERS BY ENABLING TRADITIONAL ROOFERS TO EXPAND TO SOLAR ROOFING, REFINING THE BUSINESS MODEL, AND MAXIMIZING INCENTIVES. -REDUCE LABOR FOR INSTALLATION OF ROOFING AROUND OBSTACLES LIKE VALLEYS, SKYLIGHTS, AND VENTS IN ORDER TO MAXIMALLY IMPACT SYSTEM LEVEL SOLAR ROOFING LABOR.
