THE PROPOSED PROJECT SEEKS TO DEVELOP AN OPERATIONAL FRAMEWORK AND OPTIMIZATION MODELS WHICH COULD INCREASE HYDROPOWER FLEXIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION IN ELECTRICITY MARKETS. LEVERAGING ADVANCED STRATEGIES AND TECHNOLOGIES, INCLUDING THOSE DRIVEN BY AI, NUMEROUS MODELS WOULD BE DEVELOPED AS PART OF THE PROJECT, INCLUDING WEATHER FORECASTING, MARKET PRICE FORECASTING, INTEGRATED ELECTRIC AND WATER SYSTEM, MARKET PARTICIPATION, PRODUCTION COST, AND OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES. PROJECT ACTIVITIES WOULD INCLUDE DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS, COMPUTER MODELING, DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGIES, AND COMPUTER PROGRAMMING.
