THE OVERARCHING PROJECT OBJECTIVE IS TO PERFORM A DETAILED TECHNOECONOMIC AND LIFE-CYCLE ASSESSMENT OF A GREEN METHANOL PLANT THAT COUPLES THE MASS FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER BETWEEN DIRECT AIR CAPTURE, HIGH TEMPERATURE ELECTROLYSIS, AND A METHANOL SYNTHESIS REACTOR. THE SECONDARY OBJECTIVES SUPPORT THIS ANALYSIS USING EXISTING EXPERIMENTAL FACILITIES AND MODELING CAPABILITIES TO ADDRESS KNOWLEDGE GAPS PERTAINING TO SMALL DEVIATIONS IN THE FLOW, TEMPERATURE, PRESSURE, AND COMPOSITIONAL CONDITIONS PREVIOUSLY OPTIMIZED FOR FOSSIL FUEL FED SYSTEMS.
