AN INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION OF CONTINUOUS PASSIVE DIRECT AIR CAPTURE (DAC) AND GREEN METHANOL PRODUCTION . RTI INTERNATIONAL, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CREARE LLC AND THE ELECTRIC POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTE (EPRI), WILL PERFORM CONCEPTUAL DESIGN AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR CARBON-NEUTRAL METHANOL (MEOH) SYNTHESIS FROM CO2 REMOVED FROM AIR BY DIRECT AIR CAPTURE (DAC) AND CONCOMITANT PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN (H2) FROM WATER (H2O) ELECTROLYSIS. THE MAIN GOAL OF THIS LABORATORY-SCALE PROJECT IS TO ADDRESS KEY TECHNICAL CHALLENGES AND ADVANCE THE TECHNOLOGY READINESS LEVEL (TRL) WHILE DETERMINING ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY AND CRADLE-TO-GRAVE LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS.
