THE GOAL OF THIS WORK IS TO PROVIDE A BENCHMARK FOR THE RECENT SURROGATE METHOD WORK. A NEW TECHNIQUE UTILIZING PARTICLE-ABSORPTION REACTIONS THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED BY THE PI UNDER THE CURRENT NNSA AWARD FOR AN INDIRECT MEASUREMENT OF THE (N, ¿) CROSS SECTION WILL BE UTILIZED TO CONTINUE INDIRECT MEASUREMENTS OF N-CAPTURE REACTIONS. THE TECHNIQUE WILL BE EMPLOYED TO INDIRECTLY DETERMINE THE (N, ¿) CROSS SECTIONS VIA SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF (P, ¿) AND (P, N) REACTIONS. THE PROJECT WILL ALSO EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITY OF MEASURING THE (A, N) REACTIONS NEAR THE N-EMISSION THRESHOLD USING THE SUMMING DETECTOR, AND THE FURTHER USE OF THOSE MEASUREMENTS TO CONSTRAIN (N, ¿) CROSS SECTIONS
