ENABLING HIGH-CAPACITY ZINC UTILIZATION THROUGH ELECTRODE AND ELECTROLYTE FUNDAMENTALS. THE PROJECT FOCUSES ON A COLLABORATIVE INVESTIGATION INTO THE IMPACTS OF PRESSURE ON ZN BATTERIES. THE TECHNICAL APPROACH INCLUDES A SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF PRESSURE’S INFLUENCE ON EACH COMPONENT OF ZN BATTERIES. IT AIMS TO OPTIMIZE ZN ELECTRODES, EVALUATE COMPONENTS, DEVELOP STABLE INTERPHASES, NEW SEPARATORS AND CONDUCT ADVANCED CELL CHARACTERIZATIONS. THE RESEARCH INTEGRATES ELECTROCHEMICAL ANALYSIS, OPERANDO STUDIES, AND MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATION(S) TO ENHANCE BATTERY PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY. THIS WORK WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE EVOLUTION OF BATTERY MATERIALS AND DESIGN.
