DATA-DRIVEN COMMUNITY-CENTERED RESILIENT ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING TOOLKIT FOR NEXUS OF ENERGY AND WATER (DCRAPT-NEW) A. PROJECT OBJECTIVES THIS PROJECT WILL DEVELOP AN OPEN-SOURCE, COMMUNITY-CENTERED, DATA-DRIVEN DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCE (DER) PLANNING TOOL FOR ENERGY AND WATER RESILIENCE ENHANCEMENT IN URBAN AREAS. THROUGH ESTABLISHING A MULTI-LEVEL COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND ENGAGEMENT MECHANISM, WE WILL DEVELOP AN INNOVATIVE COMMUNITY ENERGY AND WATER RESILIENCE ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING TOOL VIA ANALYZING MULTIPLE LAYERS OF INFORMATION AND INTERACTION BETWEEN WATER AND ENERGY SYSTEMS, AND CO-OPTIMIZING PLANNING AND OPERATION BY CONSIDERING MOBILE ENERGY STORAGE AND NETWORK RECONFIGURATION. THE PROPOSED TOOL, DATA-DRIVEN COMMUNITY-CENTERED RESILIENT ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING TOOLKIT FOR NEXUS OF ENERGY AND WATER (DCRAPT-NEW), WILL BE DEVELOPED BASED ON THE FEMA RAPT AND WSU PHOENIX PLATFORMS AND FOCUSED ON USING SOLAR ENERGY. BY COMBINING ENERGY AND WATER RESILIENCE INDICES AND OTHER IMPORTANT COMMUNITY STRESS/VULNERABILITY INDICATORS THROUGH INNOVATIVE DATA-DRIVEN APPROACHES, THE TOOL WILL PROVIDE COMMUNITY PLANNERS WITH A COMPREHENSIVE VIEW OF COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND HELP THEM MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS.
