QUANTIFYING NEW AND USED PLUG-IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE MARKET DYNAMICS IN DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT IS TO COLLECT AND ANALYZE DATA TO IMPROVE OUR UNDERSTANDING IN TWO AREAS CRITICAL FOR INCREASING PLUG-IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE ADOPTION IN DISADVANTAGES COMMUNITIES: 1) QUANTIFYING MARKET DYNAMICS BETWEEN THE NEW AND USED VEHICLE MARKETS AND THE ACCESSIBILITY (BOTH SPATIAL AND FINANCIAL) OF NEW AND USED PLUG-IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES SUPPLIED TO DISADVANTAGES COMMUNITIES; AND 2) QUANTIFYING THE NEEDS AND PREFERENCES OF VEHICLE OWNERS IN DISADVANTAGES COMMUNITIES, INCLUDING THEIR VEHICLE PURCHASING PREFERENCES, BUDGETS, AND DRIVING NEEDS.
