PROJECT TITLE ''ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC FRACTURING FOR ENHANCED GEOTHERMAL SYSTEMS.'' THE PROPOSED CONCEPT IS AN ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC FRACTURING (E-HF) TECHNOLOGY FOR ENHANCED GEOTHERMAL SYSTEMS (EGS), WHICH INCREASES THE STIMULATED RESERVOIR VOLUME WITHOUT REDUCING FLUID RESIDENCE TIME AND CREATING SHORT CIRCUITS, AND THEREFORE INCREASES EGS POWER GENERATION. THE MOST COMPELLING ASPECT OF THIS TECHNOLOGY IS ITS ABILITY TO INCREASE PERMEABILITY IN TARGETED FRACTURES, WHILE PROVIDING A TRACER THAT CAN BE USED IN PRE- AND POST-STIMULATION RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION TO MONITOR THE EVOLUTION OF THE FRACTURE NETWORK (FIG. 1).
