IN THE PROPOSED PROGRAM, OPTIGON PLANS TO FILL THE GAP THAT EXISTS FOR RAPID AND INFORMATIVE IN-LINE METROLOGY TOOLS FOR EMERGING PHOTOVOLTAICS, SPECIFICALLY PEROVSKITES, WHILE INCREASING THE CAPABILITY OF PHOTOVOLTAIC METROLOGY IN GENERAL. ADDITIONALLY, THIS PROJECT SEEKS TO DEEPEN THE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW PHOTOVOLTAIC MATERIAL PHOTOPHYSICAL PARAMETERS ARE RELATED TO FINAL DEVICE PERFORMANCE. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, OPTIGON WILL (1) PRODUCE A TOOL CAPABLE OF RAPID MEASUREMENT OF SEVERAL PHOTOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES IN-SITU ON THE MANUFACTURING LINE AND AT RELEVANT MANUFACTURING SPEEDS AND (2) DEVELOP SIMULATION MODELS CAPABLE OF LIVE PREDICTION OF THE FINAL DEVICE PERFORMANCE FROM THESE MEASUREMENTS. TOGETHER THESE DEVELOPMENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ACCELERATE DEVICE DEVELOPMENT SPEED THROUGH GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONS OF PHOTOPHYSICAL PARAMETERS TO FINAL DEVICE PERFORMANCE, ALLOW FASTER DEBUGGING OF MANUFACTURING PROCESSES, AND ENABLE DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVE CONTROL AND OPTIMIZATION OF MANUFACTURING PROCESSES IN REAL-TIME.
