GEMINA DE-FOA-0002174 REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN - NEW CONDITIONAL AWARD CONTROL NO: 2174-1557 PROJECT ''SAFARI”- SECURE AUTOMATION FOR ADVANCED REACTOR INNOVATION: DELIVERY OF CAPABILITIES WHICH WILL ENABLE SMART FUNCTIONALITIES IN ADVANCED REACTOR SYSTEMS (ARS). THESE CAPABILITIES WILL INCLUDE AUTONOMOUS OPERATIONS (AO), FLEXIBLE OPERATIONS (FO), AND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE (PM) WHICH HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DRAMATICALLY LOWER OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (O&M) COSTS COMPARED TO CURRENTLY OPERATING LWRS. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO DEVELOP PHYSICS-BASED, MODEL-CENTRIC SCALABLE CAPABILITIES, THAT ARE DATA-ENABLED VIA AI-ENHANCED ALGORITHMS TO ACHIEVE UNPRECEDENTED INTEGRATED STATE AWARENESS.
