84582-PE-LQC-GRANT-TITLE-W911NF-21-S-0009 MODELING CENTER FOR SCALABLE SPIN QUBIT TECHNOLOGIES-THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROPOSED RESEARCH IS TO RESEARCH AND DEVELOP MODELING AND SIMULATION TOOLS THAT ARE PREDICTIVE OF THE PERFORMANCE OF SEMICONDUCTOR QUBITS IN QUANTUM COMPUTING CIRCUITS. IN SOME INSTANCES, THIS RESEARCH WILL EXTEND EXISTING TOOLS FOR INCORPORATION IN A LIBRARY. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES INCLUDE DETAILED DEVICE PHYSICS MODELING TO SIMULATE QUBIT CIRCUITS; QUBIT CALIBRATION METHODS BASED ON DEVICE PHYSICS INSIGHTS FROM SIMULATION FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE; AND VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION OF QUBIT PERFORMANCE. ALL THE METHODS AND SIMULATION TOOLS WILL BE INTEGRATED IN A LIBRARY TO COVER THE RANGE FROM DEVICE AND CIRCUIT DESIGN TO QUBIT CIRCUIT OPERATION.
