THE PROJECT IS AN "ACTIVE BEHAVIORAL MAPPING AND EXPLORATION UNDER LOCALIZATION UNCERTAINTY". MR. SEO WILL BE WORKING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF A NEW UTILITY FUNCTION BASED ON HUMAN PERCEPTION THEORY THAT INCORPORATES COUPLED UNCERTAINTIES IN A PRINCIPLED MODULE. THESE ALGORITHMS DEVELOPED THIS SUMMER ON A MULTI-ROBOT SETTING USING ARL WARTHOGS PLATFORMS. ALL THE TESTS ARE GOING TO BE PERFORMED ON ARL FACILITIES AND USMA WEST POINT. THIS EFFORT IS LINKED WITH THE MISSION OF THE AIMM ERP AND OTHER INTERNAL PROGRAMS AT ARL. THE PROPOSED TIMELINE IS TO RUN EXPERIMENTS IN THE ARL AUTONOMY STACK AND ON REAL ROBOT PLATFORMS IN THE NEXT MONTH. IN THE SECOND MONTH, MR. SEO WILL PERFORM EXPERIMENTS ADDING OUR SPOT ROBOT TO INCREASE THE LEVEL OF COMPLEXITY. AT THE END OF THE INTERNSHIP, MR. SEO WILL WRITE AN RSS PAPER SHOWING THE RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENTATION.
