NEW START COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT THE OBJECTIVE IS TO PROPOSE EXTENDING THE GREENS FUNCTION MODEL FOR THE SECOND ORDER NONLINEAR OPTICAL CONDUCTIVITY TENSOR ON A SURFACE THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY DEVELOPED. THE NEW MODEL WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOUNT FOR A STACK OF LAYERED TOPOLOGICAL MATERIALS WITH CONTACTS. THIS EXTENSION WILL ALLOW THE AUTHORS TO START EVALUATING DEVICE LEVEL CHARACTERISTICS, AND AID IN DESIGNING DETECTORS BASED ON THESE MATERIALS. THIS PROJECT WOULD HELP TO EXPAND THE SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE OF TOPOLOGICAL MATERIALS. THE PROJECT USES A SOPHISTICATED MODELING TECHNIQUE THAT IS LIKELY TO PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY RESULTS.
