Abstract

The Polar Research Board (PRB) within the National Academies serves as the US Committee to the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC). This award covers the dues for the US participation in the SCAR and the IASC. US participation in SCAR and IASC gives the US a voice in international research and policies concerning the polar regions.
