A Workshop to Envision the Future of Advanced Regional and State Networks in the Broadband Era

Abstract

This workshop is intended to bring together community leaders in regional and state research and education networks to discuss future requirements and near term opportunities in evolving high end networking and associated service delivery to U.S. research campuses and affiliated organizations. The event is scheduled for October 20-21, 2010. The workshop will pursue regional and state network research and education futures, challenges, and opportunities in the context of evolving data driven science and significant technology-based capacity improvements emerging in long haul data networking.
