Abstract
This proposal seeks funds to support the 2010 Annual OIDA Forum on Optoelectronics, to be held in the Waterview Conference Center in Arlington, VA on November 16th and 17th. Intellectual Merit: The Forum will assemble high-level speakers from industry, government and academia who will provide keynote presentations. In addition panel discussions and poster sessions are scheduled, to offer a platform for broad interaction between all the participants and help identify key novel directions in Optoelectronics research, technology and applications. Broader Impact: The OIDA forum has been held every second year for the past ten years. It has helped create opportunities for industry and academia to find common interest and generate new collaborations. In addition to disseminating the advances in the field the Forum fosters participation from students, with a student poster session to broaden the dialog on current graduate research with the audience.
