Oslo will serve as the venue for the International Polar Year (IPY) Science Conference, which will highlight the results of a broad array of scientific and educational efforts conducted during the 2007-9 IPY. This historic 5-day conference, held between June 8 and 12, 2010, will include a scientific program of oral and poster presentations, as well as community and industry outreach activities and IPY documentary screenings to engage the world in its "Polar Science - Global Impact" theme. This group travel award will provide the ability for young researchers, educators, and key figures in Arctic and Antarctic science to participate and present at the conference, while also ensuring a vibrant US presence at this international event.
