Abstract
Computer architecture research has greatly benefitted from insights gained running simulation experiments. The infrastructure proposed for acquisition in this project is a high-performance server capable of 64-bit operations which will be used to support simulations and related research activities aimed at improving the performance and resiliency of multicore processor systems as well as reducing power consumption. The infrastructure will also be used by faculty and students in the PI's department to conduct simulations in specialized undergraduate and graduate computer architecture courses.
