Abstract

The International Study of Arctic Change (ISAC) is a long-term, international, multi-disciplinary program to understand the biological, chemical, ecological, human, and physical changes that have been documented in the Arctic for the last two decades or more. ISAC will provide the basis for an expanded knowledge base and lead to improved assessments of environmental change in the Arctic. This award is designed to support an international project office for ISAC that will produce a science and implementation plan, develop the ISAC management structure, function as a source of information, and coordinate with Arctic researchers to promote innovative collaborations to advance the science.
